Crane, Roxy to present live Met performances

North Country residents will have the truly unique opportunity to view 11 live and 11 encore Metropolitan Opera performances without the trip to New York City, as SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music and Potsdam's Roxy Theater bring The Metropolitan Opera's groundbreaking series "The Met: Live in HD" right to Potsdam.

Comedian gets mixed reviews

Jasper Redd made his local comedic debut at Dunn Theater on Saturday, August 23,2008. Redd, originally from Knoxville, TN, started his career in 2004 with an appearance on Comedy Central's "Premium Blend." He is most often recognized for roles in National Lampoon's "Totally Baked: A Potumentary" (2006) and on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien".

First Saturday is one of the best-attended events of the semester, which makes it no wonder that musical acts love to play during the day and have their music heard by all of Potsdam. Highly anticipated "Office" Season 4 DVDs released

Season four of the cult hit "The Office" was released on DVD on September 2. The DVDs feature all 14 episodes, as well as commentary and special features. Season four of "The Office" started out strong but suffered later on because of NBC's writers' strike.

Movie Review: Mirrors

Mirrors is director Alexandre Aja's newest attempt at American filmmaking. It stars Kiefer Sutherland as Ben Carson, a former NYPD detective who takes a job as a night security guard in an abandoned mental hospital. The movie revolves around Sutherland trying to solve the mystery of building and the possessed mirrors that plague it.
