Men's Lacrosse earns SUNYAC bid in first round against Geneseo

The SUNY Potsdam Bears have earned a berth in the 2008 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men's Lacrosse Tournament. Finishing third in the conference for the second consecutive year, the Bears (7-8, 4-2) will take on number two Geneseo on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. The game, which is to be played on Geneseo's Raschi Field, will be a rematch of Potsdam's April 19 regular season road game. The Knights (11-2, 6-1) won the first meeting, 12-7. Top ranked Cortland (13-1, 7-0) won the SUNYAC regular season championship, and as the number one seed, it will host No. 4 Oneonta (7-7, 4-3) on Wednesday at 4 p.m. The SUNYAC championship game will be played at the highest remaining seed school on Saturday.
